The CV 59 occurrence is located west of the Adam River, approximately 4.1 kilometres southeast of its junction with the Eve River.

The area is underlain by massive and amygdaloidal basalts of the Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group) near the contact with granodiorite of the Late Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite. The contact runs along the Adam River, east of the occurrence.

Locally, basalts host chalcopyrite, bornite, malachite and azurite mineralization, which have been exposed in road cuts.

In 1969, Ameda Copper Mines completed a program of soil sampling, geological mapping and a ground geophysical survey over the area immediately to the north as the CV and Plus claims.
